The rate you signed up for a few years ago has probably had its day. Lenders are happy to let a good deal quietly age into an average one, because most people never think to check. We do the checking for you. If switching saves you money, we'll make it easy.

Refinancing is also where our Mortgage Management service earns its keep: we keep reviewing your loan as rates move and life changes, so it keeps matching the plan behind it.

Is refinancing worth it right now?

When your loan has drifted from competitive, or its structure no longer fits your life, usually yes. When the costs of switching outweigh the gain, staying put is the honest answer, and we tell you which it is.

How much does it cost to refinance?

Typical costs can include a discharge fee from your current lender, government registration fees and sometimes application costs at the new lender. We lay out the full picture for your scenario before you decide anything.

Can I refinance to consolidate debt or renovate?

Both are common reasons to restructure. Consolidating can lower monthly outgoings while extending how long you pay, so it needs honest maths, which we do with you.

Worth knowing

When is refinancing worth it?

When the structure or pricing of your current loan no longer fits your situation, or when your loan has quietly drifted from competitive. It is not always worth it: switching has costs, and sometimes staying put is the honest answer. We tell you which it is.

What does refinancing cost?

Typical costs can include discharge fees from your current lender, government registration fees, and sometimes application costs at the new lender. We lay out the full picture for your scenario before you decide anything.

Does refinancing hurt my credit score?

Applications create enquiries on your credit file, which is one reason scattergun applications are a bad idea. A broker packages 1 well-chosen application instead of several hopeful ones. This is general information only.

Can I refinance to renovate or consolidate debts?

Both are common reasons to restructure. Consolidating debts into your home loan can lower total monthly outgoings but may extend how long you pay them; it needs honest maths, which we do with you.

What does the broker cost?

Nothing. Some brokers charge for their advice; we expressly do not. We are paid by the lender you move to, and we disclose how that works.
